In order to receive the pre-paid luncheon price of $25 for members/$35 for non-members/$15 for law students members, and $20 for law student non-members, you MUST pre-pay with your credit card on the website BY THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE. DO NOT MAIL IN CHECKS. If you make a reservation but do not pay on the website with your credit card, you must pay an additional $5 by check or cash at the door ($30 members/$40 non-members/$20 law student members and $25 law student non-members) by check or cash.

After the registration deadline has passed, we do not take additional reservations. However, you may attend without a reservation as a walk-in, provided we have space. Capacity and spaces available are listed on the registration page. Walk-ins must pay $20 for law student members/$25 for law student non-members, all other members pay $30 and $40 for all other non-members, check or cash. Our capacity is limited, so we strongly recommend that you register by the deadline and prepay on the website using a credit card in order to ensure that you will have a place to sit.
Cancellation Policy:
If you prepay for the luncheon meeting and cancel after the registration deadline of NOON on the Monday before the luncheon meeting, we cannot provide refunds. Reservations that are not prepaid by the registration deadline, and are either cancelled after the registration deadline or “no shows,” will be billed at the at-the-door price. We are required to guarantee the number of meals to the University Club, and we pay for those meals even if you must cancel after the registration deadline.

Arizona is a leader in innovative steps to improve access to civil justice for all Arizonans, including those trying to represent themselves in court. As Chair of the state’s Commission on Access to Justice, Judge Winthrop will describe the demographic and geographic challenges, outline the steps taken by the Commission in the last 3 years, and describe current/future projects, including opportunities for Arizona lawyers to participate. Ms. Bridge will discuss barriers to access to justice in the Arizona civil court system, particularly in the areas of family law, landlord tenant and consumer law .


Larry Winthrop was appointed to the Court of Appeals by Governor Hull in 2002 after 25 years of practice as a trial lawyer,. He was elected Chief Judge of the court for 2011-2013, and was honored by the Supreme Court in 2012 as its Judge of the Year. In 2015, the State Bar named Judge Winthrop as the James A .Walsh Outstanding Jurist. He also currently chairs the Attorney Discipline Probable Cause Committee, and was previously Vice-Chair of the Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct. In his spare time, Judge Winthrop and his music group, feeney/winthrop, put on benefit concerts for St. Joseph the Worker and other non-profit charities devoted to providing assistance to Arizona’s vulnerable populations.

Pamela Bridge is currently the Director of Litigation and Advocacy for Community Legal Services. Community Legal Services is a nonprofit law firm dedicated to eliminating poverty based inequities in the civil justice system by providing high quality legal advice, advocacy and assistance to low income Arizonians. In her positions, Pamela directs the advocacy and litigation of the firm’s thirty attorneys located in 5 counties: Maricopa, Yuma, La Paz, Yavapai and Mohave. Community Legal Services focuses on five main areas: housing, family law, consumer, employment and health and economic stability. Pamea is a current member of the Arizona Access to Justice Commission.
