AWLA - MARICOPA CHAPTER HIKE

NORTH MOUNTAIN PARK

SATURDAY, JANUARY 2, 2021 - ARRIVE AT 9:15 A.M.

Casual 90 minute hike to start the New Year! Enter the parking lot at the traffic light at 7th St. & Peoria. Please plan to arrive and park by 9:15. Hike will start promptly at 9:30am. Just show up and hike. All levels; we will aim to stick together. Please bring hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, layers, at least 20 oz. water, and any desired snacks. Hiking shoes strongly encouraged. No food or water will be provided. There is a bathroom near the ramada where we'll start. Participants should be able to walk for 90-120 minutes without difficulty. Hike will be easy to moderate. Hike leader is CPR/First Aid certified, but everyone participates at their own risk. Well-behaved leashed dogs are fine. Rain or shine: if trails are slippery due to rain, we can walk through adjacent neighborhoods near Pointe Tapatio. Hike leader will be masked at all time and respectfully requests that all participants do the same. There may be a small cohort up for a distanced lunch post-hike.
