Join Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association, the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, the Arizona Black Bar Association, the Arizona Jewish Lawyers Association, the Iranian American Bar Association, and The Carter Center for two in-person, interactive continuing-legal-education (CLE) training sessions (4 credits per training) on elections and election law on August 8 and 22, 2024.
These trainings will introduce only 40 participants to the foundations of election law and electoral issues in the U.S. and Arizona by examining the law, processes, legal cases, and frameworks that shape our elections.
The trainings will also explore the unique civic role that lawyers play in our government and politics by asking participants to consider how legal professionals can act as “citizen lawyers”—individuals who not only uphold the law but actively engage their communities in ways that strengthen adherence to and respect for the rule of law.
Participants will enjoy a complimentary lunch and networking reception, hear from Arizona election officials and experts, and receive a certificate of completion upon the training’s conclusion in addition to 4 CLE credits per training.
A full agenda, list of speakers, and panelists will be confirmed shortly.
