SALLY K. DIGGS
became the Jury Commissioner for Pima County Superior Court in 2019. She has been a member of the Arizona State Bar since 2004. She previously was a prosecutor for the Tucson City Attorneys Office and an Assistant Attorney General representing the State of Arizona in dependency cases. She received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers Law School and graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. She started her career at Pima County Superior Court as a law clerk for the Honorable John S. Leonardo and the Honorable John E. Davis.
KELLIE JOHNSON
is a judge on the Pima County Superior Court. She currently serves as the Civil Presiding Judge. Governor Ducey appointed her to bench in June of 2017. She graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona School of Law in 1996 and joined the Pima County Attorney’s Office as a trial prosecutor in 1997. During her career as a prosecutor, she tried over 150 jury trials, and received awards at both the State and national level for her trial advocacy. In 2015, she was the recipient of the Arizona State Bar’s Michael C. Cudahy Criminal Justice Award.
Judge Johnson currently serves on numerous Arizona Supreme Court committees including the Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence, the Capital Case Oversight Committee, and the Commission on Victims in the Courts. She is currently the Vice Dean of the Judicial College of Arizona.
