Kathryn H. King was appointed by Governor Doug Ducey to serve on the Arizona Supreme Court in July 2021. Prior to her appointment, she served as a Partner at BurnsBarton, PLC, where she practiced primarily in the area of labor and employment law. She began her legal career as an attorney at Snell & Wilmer, L.L.P. where she practiced labor and employment law and commercial litigation. She later served as Deputy General Counsel to Governor Ducey, during which time she advised on various constitutional, statutory, and other legal requirements of the Governor’s Office. Justice King graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She then obtained her law degree from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law. After law school, Justice King clerked for Arizona Supreme Court Justice Michael D. Ryan. She also previously served as a Regent on the Arizona Board of Regents and as a member of the Arizona Civil Rights Advisory Board. While in private law practice, she was selected to Southwest Super Lawyers and Southwest Rising Stars in the area of Employment & Labor.

The mission of AWLA is to promote and encourage the success of women lawyers throughout the State of Arizona.

Please note that this event is open to attorneys who are AWLA members, or non-member attorneys from firms/agencies that received the All In For Women Award for 2022. Attorneys who are not AWLA members may only attend if their firm is an Award Recipient.
